Automate your existing or new double pocket door with a pair our electric openers. Includes white wireless activation buttons, 2 with each opener. Doors will open then automatically close after a time delay, which can be adjusted to your preference, or positive control.

Double doors with electric operators are easier to synchronized compared to a pneumatic set. In either case, the doors are not mechanically connected and rely on matched door weights and resistance to come as close as possible to being synchronized.

The openers can be installed in the conventional manner as long as the doors are 18" or more. When opened, each door will slightly protrude from the pocket; this is inherit in the design since the gear must stay in contact with the rack.

The units can hidden and allow full opening, although an experienced carpenter will be needed; watch the video Star Trek Style Electric Doors on our product video page to get an overview.

ACCESSORIES - Motion Detection, additional rack, etc.

Most pocket doors will work fine with the standard unit, but you may perform the friction test if you are unsure whether you need a Standard or Elite unit. This kit is basically 2 individual Autoslide kits.

FRICTION TEST:

You may order the free Friction Tester to determine if the standard Autoslide will move your door or attach a fish scale to your patio door handle and pull the door open smoothly with the scale. Note the highest reading, if it is below 12 lbs., order the Standard unit. If it is higher than 12 lbs. but less than 25 lbs., you must order the Elite Heavy Duty Model. Overall Maximum Door weight is 200 lbs.
